How PayConnect uses cookies, and how you can manage your preferences.
This Cookie Policy explains how PayConnect ("PayConnect", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on this website. It also explains the choices you have for managing them. This policy stays in effect for as long as it is published here and will be revised as our cookie practices change; check back periodically for updates. For information on how we handle personal data more generally, please see our Privacy Policy.
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your computer or mobile device when you visit it. Cookies let a website remember your device and your actions or preferences over time, so you don't have to re-enter them on every visit or every page. Cookies placed directly by PayConnect are known as "first-party cookies"; cookies placed by other organizations through our site are known as "third-party cookies".
We use cookies to keep the site working properly, to remember choices you've already made (like your cookie preferences), and - only if you opt in - to understand how visitors use our site and to measure the performance of our marketing. We do not use cookies to sell your personal information.
You choose which of these categories to allow using the cookie preference banner shown when you first visit our site, described further under "How You Can Manage Cookies" below.
First-party cookies are set directly by PayConnect. The cookie that remembers your cookie-consent choice is a first-party cookie.
Third-party cookies are set by services we use for analytics and marketing, such as Google Analytics and Meta (Facebook) Pixel. These are only loaded, and can only set cookies, once you've given consent to the relevant category - they are never active by default.
| Cookie | Party | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cc_visitor_id | First-party | Remembers that you're a returning visitor and stores your cookie-consent decision so the banner isn't shown again. | 365 days | |
| _ga, _gid | Third-party (Google) | Set only if you accept Analytics cookies. Helps us understand site usage in aggregate. | Set by Google - see Google's cookie policy | |
| _fbp | Third-party (Meta/Facebook) | Set only if you accept Marketing cookies. Helps us measure and improve our advertising. | Set by Meta - see Meta's cookie policy |
Google's use of cookies is described at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies, and Meta's at facebook.com/privacy/policies/cookies.
When you first visit our site, a banner lets you accept all cookies, reject everything except the necessary ones, or customize your choice by category. You can also control or delete cookies at any time through your browser's settings - look under "Privacy," "History," or "Cookies" in your browser's menus. Disabling a cookie doesn't automatically delete it from your browser; that requires clearing cookies manually through your browser.
If you reject Analytics or Marketing cookies, we stop loading the corresponding third-party scripts going forward, though data already collected before you changed your preference may still be retained by that provider under its own policy.
You can also manage Google Analytics specifically using Google's opt-out browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
